ASIA

Asia is the Earth’s largest and most populous continent, located primarily in the Eastern and Northern Hemispheres.

Asia covers an area of 44,579,000 km², about 30% of Earth’s total land area and 8.7% of the Earth’s total surface area. It has historically been home to the world’s first modern civilizations and has always hosted the bulk of the planet’s human population.

Asia is bounded by the Pacific Ocean to the east, by Australia to the southeast, and by the Indian Ocean to the south. It’s bordered by the Red Sea to the southwest, by Europe and the Urals to the west, and by the Arctic Ocean to the north.

Asia is divided into four (4) categories:

1. Central Asia
2. East Asia
3. South Asia
4. South East Asia
